Description

Acuphon Is an official stockist of Pliteq® GenieClip® RST

GenieClip® RST was designed as an alternative to resilient channel (RC) for isolating drywall from both ceiling and wall structures. It features a one piece molded rubber and galvanised steel body, and it packaged in a box of 100 units.  Requiring only one screw to attach to either wood or metal wall studs or floor joists

The GenieClip® RST is a unibody molded rubber and galvanised steel mount used to attach plasterboard to either wall or floor-ceiling assemblies. Made from recycled components, and engineered to allow reduction in assembly weight, the GenieClip can help contribute to achieving HEA05 BREEAM credits. GenieClip achieves a 60 minute fire rating* when used with a single layer of 15 mm plasterboard.

Engineered for direct adhered floor coverings such as tile, stone, wood, and vinyl floor coverings.

GenieClip® RST is to be used with the GenieClip® THFC - 1850mm (Furring Bar).

Attributes

  • Work straight out of the box – no on-site adjustment required
  • Require only one screw to attach to either wood or metal wall studs or floor joists
  • Eliminate the risk of short circuiting which reduces sound insulation performance
  • Reduce assembly weight and contributes to LEED certified buildings
  • Significantly improve low frequency sound control performance
  • Substantially improve impact noise and help stop sound travelling through walls and floor/ceiling construction
  • Allow for thinner and even no acoustic underlay used in certain floor/ceiling assemblies
  • Substantially reduce costs and associated problems in wood truss floor/ceiling construction and still meet code for fire and sound control—great for multi-family construction
