Description

Barrier mats are designed to add mass to components to reduce noise transmission. The range includes four different variations: U5 is a highly flexible barrier mat, T5 is a highly flexible barrier mat with a ‘Class 0’ foil facing and M5 & M10 are barrier mats with additional fillers which increase the mechanical strength and durability.

PhonoMat Barrier Mat U5 and U10 are mineral loaded / polymer based acoustic membranes. Their high density offers excellent sound insulation properties making these products highly sought after. Essentially manufactured from crush stone, this mass loaded barrier has extremely good dampening properties and adds mass to any substrate reducing sound transmission and vibrations. PhonoMat Barrier Mat U&T grade soundproofing material is a high density, non porous material that exhibits a non-resonant visco-elastic quality due to its flexible nature, and is one of our most popular soundproofing products. Barrier Mats control noise by blocking the transmission of sound energy and damping vibrations caused by sound energy.
