PhonoLam®

Description

PhonoLam® is a composite material consisting of sound absorbing polyurethane foam laminated to a sound insulating polymeric barrier. This configuration provides a product which can be used in multiple applications that require both sound insulation and sound absorption. There are three grades, FX, NFX and CVA-0. PhonoLam FX is for general purpose applications. PhonoLam NFX consists of two layers of Class ‘0’ polyurethane foam and so provides a fire rated surface finish. CVA-0 is for use above suspended ceiling systems either as an overlay or a ‘ceiling void’ barrier curtain. 

PhonoLam® is a high grade 3, 4 or 5 layer acoustic composite material and designed for use in tough environments where a high degree of noise attenuation is required. PhonoLam® comprises of a high mass noise barrier core sandwiched between two layers of acoustic foam. PhonoLam® can have varying face options e.g. a reinforced aluminised foil membrane, vinyl impregnated glass cloth or finished with architectural fabric.

This material is best supplied in sheet form and can be pre-cut to specific sizes and shapes either with or without self adhesive backing.
