PhonoDeck® 28

    2400 x 600 x 28mm (1.44m²)

    ACOUSTIC OVERLAY DECK

PhonoDeck® 28 is an acoustic overlay board, typically used to help Pass Part E Building Regulations.

Ideal for medium-loud impact and Low - Medium airborne noise - voices, TV noise and footsteps.

    Description

PhonoDeck® 28 boards offer a high performance impact (ΔLw26) and airborne noise reduction floating floor solution suitable for use on direct to joist application (Joists must be at 450mm centres) new or existing timber, and concrete floors. PhonoDeck® 28 can also be fitted as part of a cradle and batten system on concrete floors where there is a requirement for a service void.

PhonoDeck® 28 comprises an upper face of moisture-resistant, tongue and grooved chipboard with an acoustic felt on the underside that provides mechanical isolation from the existing floor structure. PhonoDeck® 28 is 28mm thick and is designed to dampen vibration whilst attenuating airborne sound and impact noise passing through floors.

Each PhonoDeck® acoustic overlay floorboard has a combination of a tongue & groove high density timber floorboard with a low resonance and flexible recycled
resilient polyester under-layer. Complies with Part E of Building Regulations.

    • What are your business hours?

Our technical team are available on live chat and via phone between 8am - 5pm Mon - Fri (excluding Bank Holidays). It may be worth noting that our warehouse runs seven (7) days a week fulfilling orders.

    • What are the differences between the PhonoDeck® range?

PhonoDeck® 24 is a overlay board to be used as a acoustic floating floor solution for either concrete or timber floors in order to Pass Part E building regulations. Whereas the PhonoDeck® Tri35s is specifically designed as a direct to joist solution, replacing the need for an additional chipboard layer. With this, the PhonoDeck® Tri35s uses an additional impact reduction layer in the likes of the rubber crumb layer used to further reduce impact noise.

    • Can I lay over the PhonoDeck®?

Yes. PhonoDeck® can be used with all final floor finishes. Ideal for ceramic tiling in conjunction with Permalayer. Without collapse or 'bottoming' out under high load points

    • Can I nail a soundproofing deck to the floor?

No. Any screws or nails will elimate all acoustic properties of the board as the noise energy will pass through that point of contact.

    • When can I expect my delivery?

We manufacture the PhonoDeck® range as a core product of our range, which means we generally always hold stock. Once we get your order we can get it to you within in 3 - 5 working days.

Please Note: All orders made before 11am are processed the same day, orders made after 11am are processed the following day.

    • How environmentally friendly is it?

Alongside the use of our recycled reconstitued chipfoam, all of our P5 T&G chipboard is sourced from FSC certified suppliers, which is a sustainable choice you can trust to deliver better outcomes for forests, people and markets – today and for future generations.
