PhonoBoard® Pro
1200 x 600 x 12mm (0.72m²)
FIRE RATED ACOUSTIC LINER FOR WALLS & CEILINGS
PhonoBoard® Pro is a A1 Fire Rated wall & ceiling panel that when used with the PhonoClip® system it creates a high performing independent surface.
Ideal for medium-loud airborne noise - voices, music and TV noise, by using the PhonoClip® and PhonoBoard® Pro.
Alternatively, go with the essentials PhonoBoard® which is a high density, acoustic rated plasterboard.
Description
PhonoBoard® Pro is a single layer boarding system used for acoustically lining walls and ceilings. Its edge detail is flat edge to both compliment its installation and to prevent noise penetration where one board butts up to the next. When comparing density alone to plasterboard the PhonoBoard® Pro is in a league of it’s own, and amassing a high density of 1350kg/m³ it's not really comparable to the 400kg/m³ for standard plasterboard. This means that a PhonoBoard® Pro cement fibre wall and ceiling build-up will require fewer layers and less insulation, ultimately creating a thinner build-up with a higher performance.
This extra space saving helps to create additional areas, particularly useful in high value spaces such as residential accommodation and hotels. This unique building board combines superior fire resistance, weather resistance with acoustic performance and impact strength.
If used in conjunction with the PhonoClip® system you are able to create a truly exceptional acoustic barrier which outclasses the current market leaders whilst maintaining an outstanding fire rating. The PhonoClip® and furring bar system, when put together, decouples the PhonoBoard® Pro from the main building structure drastically reducing any acoustic vibrations from passing through.
PhonoBoard® is the essentials version of PhonoBoard® Pro which is an acoustic rated plasterboard opposed to PhonoBoard® Pro that is cement fibre.
